Finnøy was founded in 1884. From 1902 to 1975 they produced engines with propellers. Their first hydraulic controllable pitch propeller was delivered in 1932. Since 1975 they have specialized in the design and manufacture of gearboxes and controllable pitch propellers.
Today they are a supplier of high quality reduction gears, controllable pitch-propellers and remote control systems for the global marine market. The Finnoy system consists of integrated ship propulsion gears & CP-propellers up to 8000 kW with comprehensive remote control systems.
